Over at Pop Culturista, we've been following the three, count em, <a href="https://popculturista.com/t/pinocchio">three 2022 movies based on the story Pinocchio</a>. A fourth Pinocchio has entered the game, literally, in the game Lies of P. The trailer above was unveiled at Tuesday’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. In this Bloodborne-style&nbsp;game, you play as Pinocchio, and you'll have to tell lies to advance, but it's all for the greater good and your goal is to become a real boy. This all makes sense, and is in line with the original story, but the difference here is that Pinocchio is not so much a boy <a href="https://www.polygon.com/23319940/pinocchio-is-hot-now-lies-of-p-disney-guillermo-del-toro-gamescom">but a hot young teenager.&nbsp;</a>​

There are other ways the story has been updated for the game, like the constant fighting, and Pinocchio's ability to swap out his arms for weapons and robotic prosthetics. The tone is dark, but that's closer to Carlo Collodi's 1881 Pinocchio than any of the movies.
