Zelda Player Builds Functioning Scale In Tears Of The Kingdom

Are we even playing the same game? Here we are, trying our hardest to unlock a mere five percent of the underground while everybody flexes their creative and engineering minds. No hate though, just mad respect. From two-stage rocketships, and crucified koroks, to flying ships that rain down on enemy camps, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom provides players with a new way to build things thanks to its Ultrahand mechanic.

And boy did the players take this new mechanic and run so far. One of the newest creations is an actual weighing scale, made and shared by Reddit user RecommendationOk6842. His video, posted on the Hyrule Engineering subreddit, revealed Link’s weight in comparison to other objects. From the short footage, the legendary Hero of Time only weighs around ten apples.

While this may seem to just induce some harmless fun, like measuring random items and weapons, other people in the comments are now busy thinking and tinkering with this new idea of a functioning weighing scale. "This will completely revolutionize aircraft engineering," said one.

"What a great concept though, I never would have thought to do this, but now that I see it done it's so obvious," another exclaimed in the comments below the video. "We could legit establish a unit of measurement with this, and use it to see how much our builds actually weigh."

We’d just like to point out that Tears of the Kingdom has already been out for just a month. If players can conjure this among many others, imagine what they can create in the years to come. Check out the full video of how the scale was created here.
