Xbox Faces The Judge As To Why Halo Isn’t On The PlayStation

Now that’s a funny headline.

You might be wondering; why is Microsoft explaining the lack of their hit franchise Halo on the PlayStation in a courtroom? Well, all of this is part of a case involving the FTC over the corporation’s attempt to purchase Activision Blizzard, the developers behind Call of Duty.

Microsoft Xbox’s chief Phil Spencer was called to the stand and was questioned about the fact that Halo was not offered on other devices. This was because the discussions of exclusivity in the console market arose during the hearing.

Spencer explained that different consoles have exclusive games that don’t launch on other platforms. "We're at a significant deficit behind the hit quality and number of exclusive games," he elaborated. "Halo is much smaller than Call of Duty, Starfield is much smaller than Minecraft."
