For a totally immersive gaming experience, there is now a gadget that will bring the cinematic concept of Smell-o-Vision to your game adventures. It's called GameScent AI. The $180 module releases scents from cartridges according to the sounds coming from your game, as interpreted by artificial intelligence. What scents are available so far?
I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Don't quote me on that. The company also has the scents of blood, sports arena, and ocean coming soon. It seems like this might lend an aura of realism to the game you're playing, which might make you think twice about the smell of blood coming from the player you're about to blow away. Or your own. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on how you feel about bloody, violent games making war seem too easy. Anyway, the smell of a sports arena, golf course, or human exertion might ruin the purpose of playing games at home alone instead of participating in real world activities. Give them time, they will have scents tied to Goat Simulator and The Walking Dead soon. -via Boing Boing
