A lot of horrible stuff happened in gaming in 2023. The Nintendo Switch tried to play modern games and was lacking in ability, disappointing avid gamers who took the plunge. The Game Awards sucked, like it always does. Artificial intelligence tried to get its finger into everything, and left a mess. More women are playing games than ever before, but they still get dissed by the industry. Prices went up, and then there's the business side of gaming, in which no one paid any attention to the gamers the industry depends on. Let's take a look back at the worst in gaming from the past year at Kotaku. The good news is that 2024 has to be better, right?
