Well, it’s not really free for everybody.
For those who availed of PlayStation Plus, the list of free monthly games has just been released. Subscribers will get access to three games they can download and keep forever (even if they unregister for this service) for no additional cost. The service has been a topic of many discussions considering how mixed the receptions are for their releases.
This month, however, players are generally happy with the selection. Except for one big video game: Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. It’s not that the game is bad, it’s just the space it asks for is outright ridiculous. Players need to have 200 GB of storage space to download the title, and consoles generally have 500 GB to 1 TB of space (depending on their choice). This means that the space this game will take is insanely huge.
“Highly highly recommend Cold War for the campaign,” one Reddit user commented in a thread discussing Cold War’s install size. “you can delete zombies and multiplayer and everything associated with it once you download the game, and just have the campaign installed.”
Cold War joins Alan Wake Remastered and Endling - Extinction in the list of free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will get this month. Compared to Cold War, people have a good reception to these two games.
