Scott Bradlee, the founder of Postmodern Jukebox (“Today’s music yesterday”) is famous for remixing modern songs with old musical styles. We’ve previously featured his slow jam version of the My Little Pony theme song and the New Orleans jazz version of Guns ‘n’ Roses's “Sweet Child of Mine.”
This video is four years old, but it’s new to me and delightful, so I’ll share it. Bradlee takes the main theme from Super Mario Bros. and adds ragtime rhythms. It really slaps, as the kids say these days, or it’s the berries, as 1920s slang would put it.
