Dragon’s Dogma 2: Appearances Can Be Deceiving

What's most important in playing a video game? Is it the aesthetics? The innovation? The surprises? Or is it the ability for you to win? To be honest, all of those are nice, but the most important thing about any game is how much fun you have playing it. Read a review of the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 and you might encounter words like dumb, gritty, janky, ridiculous, goofy, and tough. In fact, you will find all those words in this review at Ars Technica. But that's not the heart of the matter.

Despite its faults, Kevin Purdy sings the praises of Dragon's Dogma 2 because it's fun to play. It's dumb in a way that's compared to Monty Python or heavy metal lyrics. If you haven't played Dragon's Dogma 2, or haven't played it in a long time, read up on some of the weirdness that makes this game a rollicking hoot to play at Ars Tehnica.
