Did Among Us Violate The Geneva Convention?

Oops indeed! But did you notice this little change way back in 2020? We certainly didn’t. We were busy running around doing our little tasks (or actively hunting down our friends and avoiding suspicion) back then.

A Tweet from the official account of Among Us, the popular online multiplayer game, revealed that they kind of got in trouble because of the color red. One of the rooms in the game, the MedBay has a cross that was initially in that color.

According to the Geneva Conventions Act, the red cross is only to identify and protect medical and relief workers, military and civilian medical facilities, mobile units, and hospital ships during armed conflict. Any use of the symbol that was not authorized by the convention and its additional protocols is forbidden.

So, after being informed of this protocol, the game quickly changed the color of the game’s MedBay cross to blue. Honestly, we didn’t notice, but that’s quite a game tidbit!
