That’s another one to add to the list of broken or missing features.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the game that had a controversial release in 2020 for the lack of features as well as the onslaught of bugs during its launch. Three years later, players of the game will have more to play in the form of the Phantom Liberty expansion. This means that gamers would be treated to new features and improvements as well, aside from a new story to play through.
Unfortunately, the people at CD Projekt Red, have confirmed that one feature will not be arriving when the expansion comes to the game. Speculation arose when a mistranslated interview with a developer implied that the metro system would be coming. "A word of clarification on this topic as many people have been tagging me since yesterday," said Marcin Momot, the Global Community Director at CD Projekt Red. "Nothing has changed regarding the metro system in Cyberpunk 2077 – we do not plan on adding it in the future."
The speculation came from the files and other bits and pieces in Cyberpunk 2077 that implies that the developers were working on implementing a subway or metro system. However, it was cut off at some point in the development process.
