Dead Space’s Worst Mission, Fixed

One of the most frustrating parts of Dead Space is where players are required to blast big chunks of asteroids out of the sky before they get killed by them. In one particular situation, gamers are placed in an inaccurate turret and are challenged with operating said machine while these space rocks race toward them at a fast rate. It’s challenging yes, but it’s also frustrating.

With the release of the remake of the original game, some players are now curious as to whether or not this lowkey cursed turret section will be fixed. It turns out that EA Motive has redone this part of the game– but not in the way we’d expect.

The developers did not adjust the controls for the turret, or how fast the asteroids would be. Instead, they asked players to not just sit and shoot, but approach the section like how their avatar is, and engineer.

Instead of an adrenaline-induced shooting section, the turret section becomes a challenge of managing your supplies, namely, your oxygen and Statis (the one that you’ll use for moving the turrets so they can hit better) reserves.
