Assassin's Creed II Parkour in Real Life

One of the draws of cinematic video games is the sheer freedom to go places and do things you'll never do from your comfy chair, where the laws of physics and the frailties of the human body are suspended. But some folks can really do those things, and when they recreate a video game in real life, it's super impressive- almost magical. Here we have Assassin's Creed II came to life. Professional freerunner Calen Chan embodies Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze as he traverses the cities of the Italian Renaissance to battle the Templars in a video by Devin Graham/Devin Supertramp. Chan said, "I started Parkour BECAUSE of the original Assassin's Creed Meets Parkour in Real Life... I never would've guessed that 10 years later I'd be on the other side of the world AS THE ASSASSIN filming for the same series!!!"

The only part that isn't "real" are all those people getting killed, but they sure make it look plausible. If you enjoyed that, check out the fascinating making-of video, as the elaborate production takes maximum advantage of three historic cities in Uzbekistan. It's as much a travelogue as a filmmaking document.
